Can I have an early check-in?

Our standard check-in time is 4pm. If you arrive earlier, and if your room is ready when you arrive, we will gladly provide you with a complimentary early check in. If your room is not ready, you are welcome to enjoy the resort and amenities – and start your vacation right away. Please email us at hello@dawnranch.com if you require additional information.

What views are available?

All of our cabins are nestled in unique sections of the resort’s 22 acres. Each with its own unique ambiance. The names of the lodgings refer to their location at the resort. Sycamore Cabins face the sycamore shaded green and the central lodge. Meadow chalets overlook our sprawling meadow and redwoods. Redwood cabins and chalets are nestled beneath a group of towering redwoods. Creekside cottages are perched above Liverau Creek, next to The Boathouse. Our Grove cabins and cottages offer a truly unique setting among uniquely tended lush gardens at the base of a beautiful forested hillside.

Can we request a cot in the room?

Extra beds are not available for our cabins.  Our chalets and cottages feature day beds which can be used for an additional child if needed.  If you are interested in additional sleeping areas, we highly recommend reserving a two-bedroom cottage at The Grove, or one of our two-bedroom bungalows.  Alternatively, if your party chooses to reserve multiple cabins, it is possible to request adjacent cabins by emailing hello@dawnranch.com prior to your arrival. Rest assured, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Is Dawn Ranch pet friendly?

Dawn Ranch is a wonderful place to enjoy some quality outdoor time with your canine companion.  We welcome well behaved dogs in select dog-friendly cabins, based upon availability.

Email hello@dawnranch.com to request permission for your dog – be sure to mention your room type as only specific room types are eligible. Kindly note we accept one dog per reservation at an extra charge of $150 per stay, and require dogs to be leashed in public areas.

Other animal pets are not permitted. Dogs found in non-dog friendly cabins will incur a minimum charge of $500.

ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) working service animals are exempt from our pet policy. Non-ADA service/support animals are subject to the pet policy. In keeping with California law, owners of a service/support animal will be asked if it is an ADA working service animal and what tasks the service animal is trained to perform.

How do I make dining reservation at The Lodge?

While reservations are not required most days, we do recommend making reservations for dinner and on popular holidays. Simply click here to book a table or call us at (707)-869-0656.

Is Dawn Ranch kid/family friendly?

Dawn Ranch welcomes children of all ages. There is a wide variety of experiences for families to enjoy both at the resort and throughout Sonoma County. Kindly note that minors may not be left unattended at the resort.

Is the property accessible to guests with disabilities?

Dawn Ranch offers ADA-compliant accommodations, in addition to a convenient path of travel from the accessible parking spot in the surface lot to the check-in area and guest rooms. If you have additional questions, please contact the front desk to discuss your specific needs.

Are Uber and Lyft available in the area?

Due to the remote location of our property, Uber and Lyft are not easily accessible. Our front desk team can assist you in making arrangements for local taxi and/or private car services.

What is the "Every Stay Gives Back" program with Kind Traveler?

Dawn Ranch is dedicated to supporting our communities and safeguarding our planet. In line with this commitment, we’ve joined forces with Kind Traveler and their “Every Stay Gives Back” initiative.
