Dawn Ranch Resort -More unique than your average Sonoma hotel – our 15 acre resort is dotted with charming but rustic, renovated 1905 cabins. These historic accommodations are appointed with quality queen beds, fluffy comforters, simple decor amid a pristine setting of ancient redwoods. We offer a range of accommodations, from sunny poolside and cozy redwood cabins, to charming chalets with gas stove fireplaces and sun rooms overlooking the meadow. We also have dog-friendly accommodations. Accommodations include a complimentary continental breakfast.

A note on lodging – Our quaint cabins and cottages are over 110 years old, and like most old buildings (and people), things don’t quite fit the way they used to; consequently, you may notice some small gaps around your window or door that can be drafty, depending on the weather. However, we do our level best to keep you comfortable–all of our chalets are equipped with natural gas stove fireplaces and are the warmest accommodations we offer in winter time. The rest of our cabins have electric wall heaters, and we provide warm fleece bedding, so you will be nice and cozy during the night, but do expect these particular rooms to be chilly in the morning. For summer and fall, the original French windows have no screens, and yes, there are bugs in the forest! Air conditioning is provided by the coastal breeze from the nearby Pacific Ocean.
  • Pet Fee is $40 per night in addition to the nightly cabin rate.  We have a limited number of pet-friendly cabins and arrangements must be made in advance. Contact the reservations desk to inquire about availability of pet-friendly cabins.
  • Hotel Deposit and Cancellation Policy: Payment for 1st night will be charged upon making reservation. We have a 5-day cancellation policy with a $25 non-refundable administration fee on cancellations.
  • Weddings and Special Group Events: We require a 50% deposit due upon signing contract, and a 30-day cancellation fee, including a $25 non-refundable cancellation fee per room.
  • Community Events and holidays: 3-5 night minimum stay depending on event. Weekend rate applies. 30 day cancellation policy with a $25 non-refundable cancellation fee. Payment for 1 or 2 nights will be charged at time of making reservation, depending on length of event.
